It's pretty hard to find a 26-year old with four albums out these days. Unless we're talking about a rapper... Or Craig David. While his latest album came out in his homecountry late last year, it's just been released on this side of the Atlantic. Trust Me features the lead single "Hot Stuff" and the usual bag of uptempos and ballads you've come to expect from Craig. Is he taking us back to the glory days of "Fill Me In" and "7 Days"? Only you and time can tell. |

ThaHipHop.Com came into summer '08 the worst possible day. Since Saturday evening (05/31/2008), the site has been down. (The site has been back up approximately 30 minutes and it's past 9PM ET as I'm writing this.) ThaHipHop.Com's content is stored on a server in a data center in Houston, Texas. On Saturday, the data center had to be brought down after an electrical problem caused an explosion and significant damage to the electrical and physical structures. I apologize for going dark and hope you can understand the extenuating circumstances. I have more details if you wanna read more. |

N*E*R*D* <=> Nobody Ever Really Dies
N*E*R*D* <=> (Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes) + (Chad Hugo of The Neptunes) + Shae Haley
"The Neptunes is what we do, but N*E*R*D* is who we are. It's our life." - Pharrell Williams
Seeing Sounds will mark the third outing for the trio of longtime friends and is set to drop on June 10th. If the press release description fits, the summer is gettin' kicked off on a good note.

I predict that three weeks from now, when the Soundscan numbers on Usher's latest opus are released, some suits in the (archaic) music industry will have one more argument in favor of the current system. There's nothing more that can be said about "Love In This Club" and if the ATL crooner is sticking to his M.O., then there's an even bigger hit within the other fifteen tracks on the album.

This is Ashanti's fourth studio album -- the first without Irv Gotti's supervision. The release date is set for June 3 and I figure she will do well given the great reception of her smash single "The Way That I Love You". The second single "Body on Me" with Nelly and Akon is a sure shot too. Can't say as much for the cover though. (Thank God we shouldn't judge the boo, errrr, CD by the...)
