Let me give you a background on this joint. "Call Me" is the first single to Joell's upcoming album, Free Agent. It's about teenage love and heartbreak centered around 1995 -- the video treatment drives that point home. Joell Ortiz planned to have two remixes for this throwback. The "25 and Over" mix (produced by Statik Selektah) enhances the story with a backdrop of Biggie, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Souls of Mischief and Smif-N-Wessun classics. A "25 and Under" mix with Diggy Simmons and Wiz Khalifa was also in the plans but, it seems Atlantic didn't deem it a good look for Diggy. But Joell fans should soon be satiated: Yaowa mixtape with DJ Green Lantern and Don Cannon is on the way!
